RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

MARCH  2010 

Due to the Nor’easter that hit our area, portions of the roof flew off of the school building at Our Lady of the Valley.  After evaluating the situation, Fr. Frank says that we are unable to use the school building for Religious Education classes.  Below is a listing of the changes we needed to make in order to continue with Religious Education as scheduled.

Grade 1-4

Will meet on the following days:  Saturday, 3/20, 3/27, and 4/24 from 9-10:45 AM (**note time change**).  May dates are not needed for make-up classes.

Grade 2      1^st Eucharist Retreat day will be held on 4/17 at Our Lady of the Valley.  The time of the retreat will be modified and you will all be notified.

GRADES 5-8

We will continue with our regular scheduled classes on March 22, 29, April 12, 19, 26.

Please note the time change 7-8 PM.

All classes will gather in the church for large group instruction.  Our themes will be as follows:

March 22     Grief - parents are encouraged to attend  ~ 7 – 8:00 PM

March 29     Stations of the Cross  ~  7 – 8:30 PM

April 12       Instructional Mass and Church Tour  ~ 7 – 8:00 PM

April 19       Mass  ~  7 – 8:30 PM

Welcome back!  Registration and Emergency forms for 2010-2011 are included.  Please be sure to read the Parent Letter and ALL the information required.  Also note the new fee and schedule as well as payment types.

If you haven’t paid or haven’t finished paying your tuition or sacrament fee for 2009-2010, please do so immediately.  New registrations will not be accepted until payments for ’09-‘10 are completed. We recognize that some may be experiencing severe financial hardships.  If that is the case, please contact us.
